The Prophetic meaning of the Year 2019

The Year 2019 is based on the Gregorian Calendar. In the Hebrew calendar it is the year 5779. Numbers are an important indicator of the heart of God. This year both in the Hebrew and the Gregorian calendar it ends with a ‘nine.’ In Hebrew the word nine is the letter ‘tet’. Pictographically it is a basket, and many Hebrew scholars agree that it refers to a woman giving birth or a coiled serpent. They say it that it stands for both ‘good’ and ‘evil’.
Interestingly the letter or number before ‘nine’ is ayin’ or the number ‘70’ and it is a picture of an ‘eye’. So this decade is taken to mean ‘to see’. This begs the question to see what? As for 2019 or 5779 it means to see good or evil. What do you choose to see? Do you choose to see the year ahead as a good one for you or a bad one? Do you see yourself giving birth to vision or do you see yourself surrounded by the enemy? You decide how you perceive. Your sight is your perception of your environment and what affects it. If you see yourself being beaten by the enemy then you need to rise and see yourself victorious. We have heard the phrase, ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder.’ That is true for this new year.

Number 9 in Hebrew teaches us a lot about biblical doctrine.

·       Number 9 has the meaning of first fruits of the new season that began in 2018 the year of the open doors. How many churches or believers I wonder went through the open doors that the Lord set before them?

·       Number 9 also biblically refers to the Holy Spirit. The nine gifts of the spirit, wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment, tongues and interpretation of tongues.

·       Number 9 also indicates the nine fruits of the spirit, which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

·       Jesus spoke of nine beatitudes on the mount, such as blessed are the meek, blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness.

·       The number 9 also indicates the period of gestation for a woman. The woman having kept her baby in the womb for nine months looks forward to delivering her child into the world.

So for the believer the year 2019 is significant for many reasons.

1.       How do you see the year? Do you see it good for you or bad? The bible says, “guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it flows the issues of life.” The believer is urged to take care of what goes into their hearts from the ear gate, eye gate and mouth gate.

2.       What have you been praying to the Lord for these last 10 years? Arise and rejoice for the time of harvest has come. The year of giving birth to your dreams and visions. To all the godly desires of your heart.

3.       Next year is the year 2020 or in medical terms perfect vision. (20/20 vision) So this year we give birth to what we will see fully in the year 2020.

4.       The end of this year will mark an end of the decade. Let’s create more godly cycles this year that we can be more blessed in the year 2020, when God will begin something brand-new in His church.

5.       God is preparing His bride, his chosen ones, to handle the magnitude of the blessings He is releasing on the earth. So, to be partakers of this blessing means more time in prayer and the word.

6.       The new year is nothing to fear about. Changes are only good even though sometimes we don’t see the full picture, we have to trust the Lord on this. The past discomfort and pressure were only preparation to those who submitted to the training hand of the Lord.

7.       God wants his church to move into a greater place of the Supernatural. To have eyes to see and ears to hear the changes that are taking place in the spiritual realm.

8.       He has great rewards of blessing tied to assignments for the mature sons and daughters of God. For the earth waits in anticipation for the revealing of the true sons of God.

9.       Some scholars have pointed out that the Hebrew letter ‘tet’ has a crown on it. The first part shows a ‘crowned man’ and the second part shows a man bowing down. Interestingly the crowned man is with the Sword of the Spirit. The power of the crowned man is in the ‘sword(spiritual)’ he or she carries. This year the crowned men and women of God, the leaders in the body of Christ will arise and shine.
